Pasta

Someone we all know has a tip family recipe for pasta salsa or an Italian grandmother’s lasagna recipe. But what about a rest of us? For me, it was a neighbor…

Miss Alice lived in a tiny yellow residence on a corner. All of us kids who lived near her residence would travel there to locate a propagandize bus, and she done certain to be there in a afternoons to see us off a train as well. She was like a whole neighborhood’s grandma. She upheld out cookies and hugs only alike.

She was in her 60s behind then, a widow from a second World War who still wore her skinny bullion marriage band. we don’t know what she did her whole life. we consider we all insincere that she was a clergyman since she was so kind.

Sometimes Miss Alice would make this macaroni/vegetable reduction that she called, “Joe’s Macaroni.” Every time she done it, it was opposite than a last. When us kids would lift weeds from her garden, or hillside leaves, or trowel sleet from her sidewalks, she wouldn’t let us leave unless we had a full belly. We favourite doing chores for Miss Alice.

“Joe’s Macaroni” was zero some-more than a pot full of whatever she had around a house. Sometimes it had belligerent beef in it, other times it had chicken. It always had a tomato sauce, macaroni and veggies (corn and potatoes, always). And it came served in a coffee mop with a potion of milk.

We speak about Miss Alice often. We all skip her dearly.

Ingredients

1 bruise macaroni, uncooked

2 middle tomatoes, seeded and chopped

1 can Italian-flavor tomato paste

1 can precipitated tomato soup

1 bruise belligerent beef, sausage or chicken, cooked

 1 tbsp. unfeeling oil

2 middle potatoes, cooked, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 tiny can of honeyed corn

Whatever veggies we have on palm — could include:

1 middle zucchini or yellow squash, halved and thinly sliced

1/2 crater chopped onion or peas

1 crater white symbol mushrooms, quartered

1 tiny red or immature bell pepper cut in 1/2-inch pieces

1 or 2 carrots or celery stalks, chopped

1 crater immature beans cut in pieces

Seasoning of choice

Directions

Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.

In a soup pot, mix tomatoes, tomato pulp, and tomato soup, and a slice of baked meat. Cook over middle feverishness until salsa starts to bubble. Add potatoes and corn, cover, and keep warm. In a vast skillet, feverishness oil over medium-high heat, supplement veggies. Season and stir-fry until vegetables are tender. Combine pasta, unfeeling reduction and tomato salsa reduction, and feverishness thoroughly. This recipe isn’t an accurate science, though it’s so yummy. Serve in a coffee mop with a potion of milk.
